Happy Halloween 2012

I'm back!!

So I kept saying to myself. I'll get caught up... later. Well, now that I'm so far behind that it is impossible to get caught up I can just start from here I guess!

Adalyn is crawling and eating everything off the ground lately. She has a couple of teeth now too. She has been a pretty chill baby. She is starting to grow out of it and is very busy now, always on the go, but for the most part is an good baby. She does still have some getting used to mom being away. My parents would probably say she is not so "good". All us kids went to the USU homecoming came and left all 13 grandkids with mom and dad. She was the worst one... She cried most of the time. I have to say though. She is always good for me :) That trip was good for her though. She got to be around all our family and by the end of it she wasn't so clingy. 

Yesterday Kevin came home and decided to eat some Nachos. Rachel was dipping the chips and eating of the cheese. The spoon that Kevin used to dish it out was in the bowl, and she eventually just picked up the spoon and dishing it straight into her mouth. Kevin and I just looked at each other and smiled. 

 This is a dress that was made for my mom and now there have been 3 generations taken in it.

 Last year for Christmas we got this giant bean bag. The kids LOVE it! Adalyn really gets laughing when she's playing in it.

Too funny!

So a couple of nights ago. Kevin and I are sitting on the couch watching Rachel. She comes up to us and says, "Kiss.". So we lean over to give her a kiss, and she pushed us away. So we figured out that she wanted us to kiss each other. So we did, and she said, "Again!" So we did and she said, "One more time." So we did, then she said, "All done!"

That cracked us up so I thought I would share. She was singing twinkle twinkle a minute ago to Adalyn, being super cute. However, at this very moment, she is trying to climb in my lap... while I'm trying to write this cute thing about her... still cute I guess :/

If you are wondering where I've been. I've just been procrastinating. A lot has happened. We had a visit to Utah. That was very bitter sweet. I love to see my family, but there was a pretty big hole that Grandpa Andersen left. Don't worry, I'll get back to this... eventually :)

So Adalyn is just over 2 months old! We had her blessing at our home and here are a couple of pics.

Nana Visits!

The week after Labor Day, Kevin's mom was able to come and see us (love cheap tickets!!). We did a lot of running around, and we were super busy. Rachel was a pretty good sport through it all. We made our first trip to IKEA, which was interesting, and it was fun getting ideas for how to decorate and organize. We also went to a Rockies game. Way cool! We were so glad Nana could come and visit, it was a lot of fun!

Rachel was kind of restless during the first four innings, then she really calmed down for the rest of the game. She did really good considering the game started 15 minutes before her bedtime.

Visitors!

Just before Labor Day Kyle and Shantay came to visit. It was a fun! Rachel just loved having them here. This pictures are a little shuffled, but I labeled them so you can tell where we are. We did some fun stuff!

We went to the Butterfly Pavilion, super cool. We all thought it was pretty neat.

Red Rocks Amphitheater. Definitely worth going to. We will have to go again with some hiking shoes. Kind of weird thing though, there were people exercising on the steps. Would NOT be my choice of venue to exercise. The smaller the audience the better for me.

At the Butterfly Museum they let you hold a tarantula!!! Pretty cool. Rachel was too little, ages three and up.

Rachel was bound and determined to run away while at Red Rocks. At least Kevin was the one chasing her.

Camping Trip!

So the camping trip pictures are actually at the end. It was really fun. We went with Colby, Michelle, Jayden, and Kylie. We went to Mueller State Park. We got there Friday night and stayed until Saturday. Saturday morning after we packed up we went on a hike, then we ate at a local restaurant which was kinda fun. Then we continued the weekend and headed to pueblo to hang out and came home Sunday just in time for church. WHEW! Fun weekend!

Just barely got back from shopping at Kohl's. (Saved $300 hehe) Rachel was wondering what the deal was with the headless dude...

This was the day we found out what the baby was. We went to a park after the OB appointment, while we waited for Rachel's 18 month check up. We still haven't found a pediatrician in Castle Rock, and because we had to go up for the ultrasound, I scheduled the appointments the same day.
