Blessing and such.

So the blessing went really well. Kevin did really good, he is a great dad. We had a really good weekend hanging out with family. All of Kevin's siblings were able to make it, and we were able to get a family picture (even though it is going to be outdated by the end of the summer). Rachel is going to get a couple more cousins. We had a really good weekend and I think Rachel even enjoyed it.

Rachel weighs 10 lbs now, and is doing really good. She has forgotten how to roll over, but she is a busy body, so I don't think it will take her long to remember.

Time for an Update!

St. George/Leamington Trip

Rachel has been to St. George and Leamington already. First we went down to St.George to meet Great Grandma and Grandpa Nelson for the first time and to tell Grandma happy birthday. I went down with my mom and Kevin stayed home for school. We stayed over for a couple of nights, and then my dad brought Kevin halfway and I traded him for Mom and we were able to spend part of Spring Break with Kevin's Family in Leamington. I totally forgot the camera, but Kevin brought it with him. So no pictures from St. George, but we snapped some cute ones in Leamington!

Rolling Over

Rachel was rolling over last week! It took her a long time, but she did it for us at least five or six times last weekend. She hasn't done it since, but there is a video from last Friday at the end of the blog. She has forgot how to put her up instead of down by her side, so now she keeps trying to roll over with her arm at her side, and she gets her butt up pretty high, but doesn't make it.

Very Routine Awake Time

I guess this is what you could call Rachel's sleeping pattern. She is up every night from 8 to 12 (wide awake, doesn't matter if she slept a lot during the day or if she was awake all day). If we can get her to sleep before midnight we are feeling pretty good. She then wakes up between 2 and 4, depending on when she goes to bed, and then again between 5 and 7. When she wakes up, I just feed her and she goes right back to sleep, so they aren't a big deal, but I hope she starts going to bed earlier. I think I'm used to it now, and to be honest I think she is started to get a little better. Oh, and get this, Kevin got up with Rachel, and that night she only got up once, he seems to have the touch, so perhaps I should let him get up from now on :)

So anyway that's what's been happening. We had a good Easter today (pictures to come), and now Kevin is going to Florida for a conference with his boss, he gets to present his paper that he's been working on. So the girls will be home alone from 3:15 AM tomorrow (Monday) until sometime Friday. We will miss Daddy.

Here are some pictures to enjoy:

Rachel and Great Grandma Dutson

This was during Spring Break in Leamington, and the first smile we were able to catch one on camera. She was awake during this, she was just smiling so big that she shut her eyes. She's been smiling more and more every day and we LOVE it!! There is a video that shows her smiling below.

I made sure Rachel had on Green for St. Patty's Day

Rachel was sleeping on me one morning and had her hand under her face and it left an imprint. I had to take a picture.

She is a cutie!

LaMar and Rachel (We have the best landlord!)

So the routine during the day is that I'll be holding Rachel and she'll fall asleep, I'll set her down so that my hand are free to get something done, then she wakes up and cries, so I pick her up, she falls asleep, I set her down, she wakes up and cries, etc. So this was my attempt to set her down without her noticing.
