- Everyone has been telling me to rest when the kid rests... well she can tell when I'm resting, because the second I fall asleep she decides that she's not tired.
- My phone only rings when I'm feeding her and the phone is in the other room.
- The day goes by super fast. I don't know how mom's get anything done. It might be my lack of brain cells from no sleep, but I can't focus on one thing long enough to get anything done.
- Rachel should be entered into some kind of poo flinging contest... we could be rich. She has got good aim too, as you can see in the photo below.
- But after its all said and done, I really love this little girl. She is the sweetest thing. Today I was burping her and she was falling asleep, and she was twitching those little smiles, and then she did something I hadn't seen her do before. She giggled. I'm pretty sure it wasn't on purpose or anything, but it was while she was smiling and it sounded like something was pretty funny. It makes the sleepless nights worth it!
I'm sure the list will continue to grow, but those are just some things that are kind of funny.
Monday she was two weeks old, and then Tuesday we went to the doctor to see if she had gained her birth weight back, and sure enough, she weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and she grew an inch. Keep in mind that she wasn't even due until today, the 25th. Everything looked good, so Kevin and I are pretty happy parents. Anyway, here are some more pictures to enjoy.
Dad loves to hold her. He told me the other day that I was lucky because I get to stay home with her all day.
I love how her little legs fold up just perfectly.
Daddy and Rachel.
Mommy and Rachel.
Getting ready for a bath.
She was looking pretty cute and stretching, so I snapped some pictures of her cuteness.
We try all the time to catch her when she is sleep smiling. It never really works, but we were close on this one.
These were on Monday. Two weeks old.
I saw this and it reminded me of how small she is.
When Kevin gets home he can't put her down, so this is him attempting to get some homework done too.
