New Place!
This is the place we are living in right now. It is a town home that belongs to Kevin's Mission President. They were moving to their St. George home about the same time that we moved to Denver, so it worked out well. We actually live in Littleton not Denver (same city as the Temple), and Kevin works in Centennial.

Summer is gone, but...
Great NEWS!
Kevin got a job in Denver!! He starts the first of January. We are really excited about it too. So as soon as he is done with class in December and after the holidays, we'll be moving to Colorado. People would ask what's after school and we would just shrug our shoulders, so its nice to know what is going to happen after school now.
Today Rachel is 9 months old. She had an appointment today, and the doc said she's looking good and healthy. She is light, but her hight is average. Almost 16 lbs. She's quite the traveler, loves to try to eat paper. I think that is her goal in life right now. She's also pretty handy with standing up and sitting back down. She still just has those two bottom teeth, so we still have some teething fun ahead of us. She's my little shadow, I love it. When Dad opens the door, she knows he's home from work and she is always excited to see him. She's our little punk'in (sometimes without the "in")!
It's dark in our house, so pictures aren't always the best, but this is Rachel today and she is playing with her favorite toys. She travels with them and then leaves them there for mom and dad to step on.

Rachel was all about grabbing the candy!
Rachel was an elephant for Halloween.

She'll crawl under the table, then get stuck. This is before she got frustrated.
You can tell she is on her way to trouble.
Homecoming attire, however Aggies let us down, plus we got rained out.

I'm a little busy...

She was pleased with the swing.

Getting ready to go on a stroll. Now that it is cold we are missing them :(

Small but Mobile
So Rachel is small (but healthy, don't worry). Doesn't stop her from crawling. She gradually started going from rocking back and forth to moving limbs. She starting sitting up on her own too about the same time that she figured out she could crawl. We have some videos, but most babies crawl alike I would think.
Rachel's teeth are coming out more everyday, and are sharper than ever... I'm tempted to stop nursing...
Rachel also got to meet her family in Vegas. That was a fun trip. Thank goodness Karl and Kim needed some beef :) Pictures are still on the camera. Now Rachel only has one cousin left to meet...
So I still can't believe it is September and its already half gone...

Since Last Time
This last month went by so fast! I kept thinking I would do a post but I kept pushing it off. Anyway, we went to Drew's baby blessing, we went to some family reunions, we went camping, we went to the Cache County Fair, and we applied for some jobs.
Rachel is getting more mobile everyday. She squirms where she wants. She still doesn't quite understand that if there is something across the room, she could get to it. If she sees something too far away she just loses interest. However, when she plays on the floor, she can wind up on the other side of the room. She has her bottom teeth showing now. They emerged last Tuesday, at least that is when we first felt them. Now they barely show if you look really close.

Close up, so you can see her teeth on bottom
Kevin has already got some call backs for job applications he has sent, I'll let everyone know if we take a job... its in the workings. School has started and already, third day, Kevin has been swamped with homework, just from two classes. Plus he is working and has his thesis to finish. He's a hard worker that one :) Anyways, here are pictures.
At Drew's blessing, Raegan let Rachel try on her glasses.
I had to post this, its Drew's Halloween costume, we were just making sure it would fit Drew in October, I'm sure it will be fine since he's catching up to Rachel anyway...

Had to try Rachel's boots out for the fair :)

Angel Stand, new trick

Rachel likes the grass.

Another new trick...
I find this funny, she always sleeps with her butt up in the air
I got a haircut, the point was for Rachel to stop pulling my hair, but I'm afraid I'll have to shave it off to accomplish that. Kevin will also have to shave his legs, I'm telling you she can pull hair no matter how short.
Dressed up for church
Rachel and Dad
Dinner, she has been getting rice and baby veggies and fruits for a while now. She doesn't care for peas, but fruits go down pretty easy and sweet potatoes and carrots too.
She was giving the cutes smiles, but the flash was making her squint... still cute

Colorado Trip!
For Pioneer Day we decided to pioneer to Pueblo West, Colorado to visit the Andersen Clan. It was kind of a spurt of the moment deal, and it ended up being way fun! We did a lot of fun things, plus we got to hang out and catch up. Colby and Michelle were awesome, everyone should visit :) Besides playing Power Grid (which Colby and Michelle agree that it is way fun), here are some pictures of some of the things we did.
This was on our way to see Bishop's Castle. We took a dirt road on the way up, it was a really pretty drive.
Rachel and Martilyn and Renegade Rhonda (the car).

Bishop's Castle: So this is a kind of a funny tourist attraction. This is a castle that is being built by one guy. He has been building it for the last 40 years!
This was Michelle's favorite part! Ha ha! This balcony was pretty crazy. We were up pretty high and it was not exactly solid, you could feel it give as you walked on it, and you wished you were 30 lbs lighter...
I kept telling Kevin, "Stop, that is far enough for the picture!". Those steps were super steep.
Front View
I thought this lookout was kind of cool. You can see where it is on the castle in the picture below.
Back view
So I was below taking the pictures and Colby was up there taking a video. Oh boy, that is all I have to say. The video is below.
Jayden and Colby did it too right before Kevin!
On Saturday we went on the Pueblo River Walk. It was really neat.
Colby and Jayden getting wet.
Yay for paddle boats! These were quite the workout. We all we pretty hot after this.
Right before we went home we got these cute pictures of the kids, it was a pretty fun photo shoot, we figured if we took enough pictures we would get some good ones :)
